Cyber Monday 2016: Everything You Need To Know

Published

In recent years Black Friday has become one of the biggest shopping days of the year worldwide. Originating in America, over the last few years even retailers in the UK have been using Black Friday to offer great discounts and deals on a whole range of products, on both the high street and online.

However you might not be so familiar with Cyber Monday, unlike Black Friday which stems from the American high street, Cyber Monday is the UK’s biggest online shopping days and is often viewed as the shopping day that kicks off the Christmas shopping season.

What Is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is essentially an online version of Black Friday and whilst Black Friday has moved online in the last 2 years, Cyber Monday is exclusively online, giving consumers the opportunity to find countless deals on a huge range of online stores.

It’s expected that when it comes to Cyber Monday most deals will be on electrical items such as laptops, tablets, mobiles, homeware and other gadgets such as games consoles and cameras.

Who Is Taking Part?

It’s inevitable that Amazon will be taking part in Cyber Monday, it’s also pretty likely that even high street retailers will be looking to put up exclusive online deals for Cyber Monday, these include names like Argos, Tesco, Asda, ASOS, John Lewis and House Of Fraser.

When Is Cyber Monday?

This year Cyber Monday takes place on Monday the 28th of November, with most online retailers aiming to start their sales at midnight.
